Kerala Leads the Way in Inclusive Travel!
With the successful execution of Project Sugamya, all railway stations in Kerala under Pallakad and Trivandrum Division are now equipped with customized wheelchairs and mobile ramps — ensuring hassle-free travel for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
Launched on 14th July 2025 at Trivandrum Railway Station, this landmark initiative by Swarga Foundation, in collaboration with Pallium India and Care and Share, was made possible with the support of Southern Railways – Trivandrum Division.What we achieved:

15 Mobile Ramps Installed
15 Customized Wheelchairs Donated

For years, people with mobility challenges faced immense difficulties while traveling by train. The experience often involved being carried by multiple people, risking injuries and causing significant stress for everyone involved. Those days of inconvenience are now over. Introducing our lightweight, portable ramps, weighing just 10 kilos and specialized wheelchairs, designed to take you right up to your seat with ease and comfort. This innovative service is currently available at Trivandrum Railway Station, with plans to expand to major stations across the country in the coming months. Useful for senior citizens, wheelchair users, patients and pregnant women. This initiative is brought to you by Swarga Foundation in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Metro Dynamix.

On August 7th, 2024, Swarga Foundation, in collaboration with Rotary E-Club of Metro Dynamix , made a significant stride towards inclusivity by dedicating mobile ramps and customized wheelchairs to Trivandrum Railway Station. This groundbreaking initiative, the first of its kind in India, enables persons with disabilities and senior citizens to board trains hassle-free, ensuring dignity and ease in travel.
The dedication ceremony was highly praised by esteemed figures including Padmashree awardee Dr. M R Rajagopal, Chairman Emeritus of Pallium India , Dr. Manish Thaplyal, Divisional Railway Manager of Trivandrum Division, and Mr. Sparjan Kumar, IPS, Police Commissioner of Trivandrum, all of whom acknowledged the project’s impact on improving accessibility for all.
