Swarga Foundation Leads the Way in Accessibility with Citywide Restaurant Audit

Swarga Foundation has successfully completed a comprehensive accessibility audit of 101 restaurants and cafes across Coimbatore, reaffirming our unwavering belief that access to food must come with dignity and inclusion. In a landmark step forward, we are proud to share that the Government will now issue official notices to all eateries, directing them to construct disabled-friendly ramps at their entrances — a major win for persons with disabilities and senior citizens who deserve equal access to public spaces.

The report has been submitted to honorable District Collector, Sri Pavan Kumar Giriyappanavar, IAS and Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Mr. Sivaguru Prabhakaran, IAS.

This initiative is not just about compliance; it is about reshaping mindsets and reclaiming public spaces for all. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated law intern from Christ University Bangalore, Mr. Udham Kumar, whose meticulous work in auditing and compiling the report played a crucial role in this transformative move.
