March 2024 – SWARGA FOUNDATION’S PARASHOOTER MS. BALAMANI SET TO MAKE HISTORY AT SHOOTING WORLD CUP

Swarga Foundation is glad to announce our association with Nehru Air Rifle Academy, an initiative of Nehru Group of Institutions. People with disabilities shall be provided free training in Air Rifle and Pistol shooting. This sport improves the upper body strength, focus, balance and coordination. This is also an opportunity to build courage and confidence in people with disabilities.

Nehru Air Rifle Academy at the premises of the Nehru College of Aeronautics & Applied Sciences was inaugurated in January 2018 by Dr. C. Sylendra Babu IPS, the Additional Director General of Police. The Academy is established on a 15000 sq. ft area on par with international standards with very precise and fully automated equipments. Ten people with disabilities were given lifetime membership for free. The shooting range is also wheelchair friendly. Nehru Air Rifle Academy has already produced few national level shooters in various categories.

Mr. S. Ajay Athithan, the Secretary of the Riffle Club effectively handles the training programme. We immensely thank Dr. Krishna Kumar for the generous gesture.
