Swarnalatha, Founder & Managing Trustee of Swarga Foundation, is a multi-faceted individual and sought-after motivational speaker residing in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She is a post graduate in Hindi Literature and holds Diplomas in Computer Science & in End User Computing. She was born and raised in Bangalore and has 12 years of work experience with Corporates like Mitsubishi, ITC, AXA and Audi. She is married and has two kids.

In 2009, Swarnalatha was a 29 year old managerial executive at an MNC in Bengaluru who thought that her life was heading exactly the way she had planned was suddenly diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis [MS]. Everything changed as if falling into a deep pit with no bottom in sight. The complete loss of mobility and the inability to independently manage activities of daily living shattered all of Swarnalatha’s personal and professional aspirations. Hospitalization had become imperative and along with that depression and dejection set in. As she started to cope with MS and accompanying issues, she also realized that she could fight back. The significant losses on the personal and professional sides led to a discovery that she could still do a lot of things and make a difference in others’ lives. In October 2014, after giving birth to a beautiful daughter, Gaana and moving to Coimbatore, Swarnalatha and her husband, Guruprasad started a charitable trust named “Swarga Foundation” to help improve the lives of those afflicted with MS and other neuromuscular disorders. She has impacted millions of lives worldwide through her work.

Her speeches are sincere and motivate those facing hardships and adversities to continue to pursue their dreams. Swarnalatha faced hardships and insecurities while growing up. Those experiences along with all the challenges from her disability are portrayed to show that life is still worth living despite everything. She has delivered more than 150 motivational talks across India to a wide range of audiences that include professionals at TEDX CIRS, IBM, Rakuten, Vodafone, etc., and physicians, engineers, policy makers, school and college students, Rotary/Rotaract Clubs, JCI, & and other public forums. She has also been a moderator and panellist at various International panel discussions including IAPCON 2017.
